become accustomed. So what are the halls of learning
teaching these days? This is a collection of educational sites around the world. Some show students hard at work, others showcase projects, others are views of the campus, and some are not easily categorized. You will be peeking primarily at colleges and universities, but there are some elementary and high schools that highlight our younger academics. Go ahead and peek!

The sixteenth American President is remembered for freeing the slaves. He did not. What he did was save the Union. His Emancipation Proclamation freed only slaves in the Confederate states and portions of other states held to be in rebellion. In saving the Union, Lincoln ultimately liberated all the slaves, but his great contribution was a steadfast belief that the Union must be preserved. Now, 140 years after his death, a Presidential Library is being built to study his life and times. | |||||
