When I was growing up I lived near a working farm. I was
a friend of the farmer's sons and I spent a great deal of time playing on the farm.
We would climb through the hay loft, muck the cow stalls, and sometimes milk a
cow or two. I wasn't very good at milking but I learned to appreciate how hard
farm life can be. But even more, I think I learned how rewarding farm life is as well.
