Deep within us lies a place
not far removed from the primordial ooze that
spawned us. It is a place of terror and loathing
which threatens us with our self-doubts and basic insecurities. It
remains for our pets to bring us some measure of worth. They depend on us, you
see. And when we pet our dog or listen to our cat purring on our collective laps we are liberated.
Go ahead and peek...it will lower your blood pressure and cure your psyche.

software. The aquarium is home to four African dwarf clawed frogs. It offers two views with three

watch the staff of the Canton Animal Hospital caring for their four legged patients. |
| The Wagging Tail |
If you own a dog you know that they are loving, caring, mainly selfless,
and they are a lot of work. Sometimes you need to find a place where they can be cared for
in a loving, nurturing doggie day care sort of way. Two cams present large and small
canines in such a setting. |
| Layla's PugCam |
Layla is a 2 year old fawn pug. Rob
Willms sent me this site and I have to say that
this is one cute dog. Have a look at the two
cameras that are trained on Layla's life. |
| Ginger's Exotic Wolfcam |
Here
is a wonderful site. Wolves are magnificent
creatures. They have the most beautiful eyes and
a social order which is quite similar to our own.
It's not hard to understand why human and wolf
destinies intersected in the unreachable shadows
of our past. I'm such a romantic, heh? View
wolves... |
| Charlie Cam |
Charlie is a one year old cat who survived an automobile accident. Young Charlie is a survivor, though. After
surgery and the loss of his tail he is on the mend at the office of "Your Cat" magazine, Stamford, UK. My thanks to Jason Hill,
Assistant Web Editor, at "Your Cat" for sharing the story.
|
| Bird Feeder WebCam |
This webcam places a spotlight on a backyard birdfeeder located in Guelph, Ontario. The seeds must be of a very
high quality judging from the variety of colorful birds that stop to eat. My Thanks to Christopher Z. for suggesting this
interesting site. |
| Vasalini's Chicken Cam |
Off the coast of Massachusetts there is an island called Martha's Vineyard.
On the island is a village called West Tisbury. Close to the village there is a chicken farm.
Thanks to Nicky Vasalini. |

Hummingbirds Live |
I planted a new garden recently and the flowers attract the most beautiful yellow hummingbirds. They hover at the
flowers and suck the nectar while flapping their wings at blurring speed. This cam from wavelit.com somehwere in the North American Pacific coast shows just how energetic these little creatures are. |
|

How about Flemish chickens? Find out how many eggs they lay; what the
temperature is in the coop and outside; and how they interact. A very nice site from Belgium. |

Storks nest in the Spring. In Germany they often
nest on chimneys. This camera is located on a tower constructed
specifically for nesting storks. |

active one. You can also visit Boko, an African

nano-reef cam by Wrongcrowd.com |
From Kirkland, Washington comes a view of various reef dwelling creatures and corals. Etian
Staroscik, who submitted the site, points out that this site uses a high quality digicam. Thus,
the views are quite startling in their color and resolution. |
| Lobster Cam |
Lobsters
are a delicacy in many parts of the world and
North Atlantic Lobsters are considered among the
best. In Maine they have a particular accent
which drops the "r" sound and so they
pronounce these clawed bottom dwellers
"lobstahs". I think this is kind of a
great idea. The lobsters are in their natural
environment. |
| Salmon Cam |
Fish
cams are electronic aquariums. If you like fish
as pets you might like to see a big fish in a
tank. Salmon are eaten daily all over the world.
Like to watch fish, like to eat fish? Visit the

| Cabrillo High School
Aquarium |
This
site may properly belong in the Netcam Academia
section. Cabrillo High School's aquarium in
California is an outstanding example of the great
projects that happen in America's schools.
Student volunteers run the operation which is
cosponsored by many fine institutions along
California's mid-coast. Congratulations to Kevin
Richards, who organized the project; Matthew
Rambo-Cleek, the present Student Head Curator;
Dave Long, faculty advisor, and all the students
involved. They should be proud of their
accomplishments. Take a look at the whole site,
it's worth it. |

Billed as the world's first indoor
kelp forest, this exhibition at the Monterey Bay
Aquarium, features many varieties of fish and
plants. |
| Shamu Adventure |
A former Site of the Week is this
gem showing views of Shamu and her friends at
SeaWorld. This highlights the beautiful Orca,

creatures live in the colder waters of Earth's
oceans. They are found in both the northern and
southern hemispheres. They hunt in packs and find
seals absolutely delicious. |
| The Amazing Fish Cam! |
This
is a sentimental favorite because it was my first
plunge into the voyeurism on the net. This
aquarium is scanned once every minute or five
minutes depending on the size image you wish to
see. |
| Bass Cam |
Originally occupied by a large mouth bass this 30 gallon tank is now
home to three small mouth bass. Things may change as they grow larger. |
| ReefCam |
I stumbled upon this site one night at about the
time that my mind began to disassemble from massive infusions of serotonin. I had to go back
the next day and check it out again. Much to my amazement it really was a live camera shot of
eels in a tank. And then, when I wasn't paying attention, it became an anemonecam, then a

Entomology Department in Ames, Iowa there is spmething called the Insect Zoo.
Enjoy a streaming, remotely controlled view of insects. You can zoom in on something
creepy crawly. |
| Panda Cam |
I recently learned that Pandas are
bears not overgrown raccoons. This means I have to unlearn what I have known as
true for a great many years. I am not convinced that they are bears; nor do I feel
comfortable with their being overstuffed raccoons. I think that their closest living
relatives live in Cleveland. |
| TigerHomes |
A great site with 31 views of tigers and
lemurs. The site was recommended by Cathy Shorter. I thank her for bringing this excellent
site to my attention. Look for a playful tiger or a lemur baby. |
